How do Dads or Older Brothers Feel When...?

Question

It's pretty much the same questions but older brothers and dads will have different opinions.

Be Honest

Older Brothers, your younger brother is actually taller than you now and still growing. How do you feel about that?

Dads, your youngest son has just grew taller than you and is still growing. How do you feel?

Like I want to know what goes through there heads when this happens.

Because as you can tell, I'm the young brother/son and I just noticed that I'm taller than both. I'm 2 inches taller than my older brother and an inch taller than my dad and I'm just entering a growth spurt. And I'm 15 at 5'10 and I'm the tallest in the family.

I just want your opinions older brothers and dads on this matter how you felt or might feel.

you should do some kind of man-ly activity with them and let them do the hard stuff so they can feel stronger than you and feel better about themselves.

I'm not a dad or a brother... I'm a woman but I'm taller than my dad, and my brother is too.  I'm 5'11" and my brother is 6'3", whereas my father is about 5'8".  

My dad hasn't said anything about it but I think he likes it.  He comes from a background where people were quite poor and I think he sees our height as a sign of good health.

I'm not a dad or a brother, h**l I'm not even a boy, but I think that each generation gets a little taller.  My grandma was four eleven or so, my mom thought she was five five but that seems not to be the case, and I am about five four-five, and I'm in my early teens, so I'm still growing and I'm already taller than my mom.  I'll prolly be about five eight.  God only knows how tall my kids'll be, and God only knows how tall (or short) my great grandma was (well I can ask my mom).

My 18 year old son is just a fraction taller than me now. I'm proud of him.

My 20 year old son is just a fraction short of me... I'm proud of him too.

They are both handsome young intelligent men.

I just asked my husband. Our son is much taller than he is. I think he got his height from my side of the family. All the guys on my side are 6'4" on average. My husband  is 5'11"  and our son is 6'3" so not as tall. He just told me that he is proud that he is taller. It shows strength. He said he is envious of his height but not jealous. I'm not sure about brothers though. I grew up with sisters.

I have nephews that are taller than me now, and once they reached a certain age and were tall I just saw them as adults rather than kids. It's a little different perception- like now they are adults and I can relate to them as adults. I can tell them jokes that are adult humor now and speak about adult topics. So I guess the height really doesn't matter as much as age, really, and how their face has changed and is an adult face.

im the same,im 6 ft nd 17,my dads bout 5 10 and bro is 5 9,if their young theyll notice it,the bro mite b annoyed but if hes mature enough h**l b fine,the dad will b happy as his son is tall,will carry out the family name bein taller than him

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm a younger brother and son, and I'm as tall as my older brother and my doctor predicts I will be taller than my dad. And my brother is 17, and I'm only 13!

I know what you mean. I'm 17 and I'm 5' 7" and my brother is 13 and 5' 6". When I was his age, I wasn't that tall at all. I got a little thrown off by it a little and a little annoyed, but I blame myself for this one, but I don't really mind. If I was active as he is now when I was 13, I'd be a little taller too, but its no big deal really. I envy it, but not major jealousy. Besides, if he does end up growing taller than I do, I just let him know that I can still kick his a**.

P.S. Boys usually don't stop growing until they are like 20-21.

Well my friend is taller thank me and I am older than he is by a year and he has hit puberty and I haven't and it just feels really bad. You always feel like you want to be them and like they are some much better that you are. It really makes me feel bad.

its all good! my younger bro. is only 15 and he is already older than me. it doesn't make me feel bad at all! i love him very much and i hope he gets as tall as can. but what would make me feel bad is if he made some of the bad choices that i have made in my past life. learn from your older brothers mistakes. it would just tear me up inside to see him make a bad choice in his life knowing that if i didn't do it then he probably never would have either.

Ok well im 16 years old and my 14 year old bro i have to share my room with a bro ok well my dad walks randomly around naked (eww i know ) but one time i was in the shower and my bro was supposed to be in school well i was coming out of the shower and out of no were my lil bro walks in fully naked and yes i take really long showers well he went to sleep (sleeps alot) he forgot to put clothes on well i *** out naked also (but i thought m bro was in school and my dad never cums in always knocking) and im about to shout WTF GET OUT OF MY ROOM! and out of curiosty i check out his p***s and i purposley erect it ( i shouldnt say this but it seems like u really wanna know) but anyways i start playing with it and well (i cant say this publicly its pretty embarrasing email me at ([e-mail] ) ill be online thx i know the story is a bit longer PLEASE EMAIL

Well your older brother might be jealous and your dad could feel proud and/or old! MY advice though is that everyone grows at different rates, maybe you just grow faster dispite age! Hope this help!
