  5. I just love the fact that you asked this. Us English folk boil the kettle, put the tea bag in a mug and pour over the hot water. You then squeeze the bag so the water goes a nice dark brown colour and remove the bag and discard. Most people then add milk and some add one or two teaspoons full of sugar. You can of course drink it without milk. If it is herbal tea you just add the hot water and leave the bag in for about 5 minutes, remove then drink. Not all us English people like tea though. My Husband hates it but I love a good cuppa.

  14. Depends - two ways - tea pot or teas bag.

Teapot - Warm pot with hot water - leave to stand - empty water and put tea leaves in - pour boiling water onto the leaves and allow to stand for 2 minutes - stir and then pour into cup - add milk/sugar.

Tea bag - Tea bag into cup - pour boiling water onto tea bag - allow to stand for two minutes -  stir and remove bag - add milk/sugar.

    NEVER put milk in first.

  21. all that the others said as a how to,

but here are some things that some english people do with tea and shouldn't:

    - use tinned condensed milk

    - put in more sugars than you have nostrils

    - leave the tea bag in (urgh)

    - don't leave the tea bag in long enough

then there is the whole lemon slice thing  (my bro once put a lemon slice in tea for a woman after he put milk in too)

the milk in earl grey tea thing

  22. We put the tea in a warmed teapot, pour on boling water, put the milk in the cup first, then pour the tea from the teapot into the cup, then stir in sugar if so wished. OR we put the teabag in the cup, pour on the hot water, THEN add the milk. Never put the milk and teabag in the cup before pouring on the hot water, as the milk cools the water down, and the tea cant infuse properly.
