  1. The game itself is very physical. Just skating. Power training.

  2. My brother is an OHL player and just has gotten back from his minicamp. He recieved his training program for over the summer/during the season, and it is very similar to what the NHL's training plan is to keep in shape. They work out six days a week, and have a day break on sunday. If you'd like to know more as to what the exercises are, message me, i;'ve got the booklet on hand with a list of all the exersises.

    :) pce.

  3. It sounds wierd, but i know that the Pens play soccer to keep in shape and conditioned. They also warm up kicking the soccer ball around before each game. Since its really a mind game i think it gets them going, along with lots of competition

  4. I can't say for sure, but it's some weight lifting, and skating back and forth (perhaps "suicides"- up to a certain point, back to the beginning, up to a second point, back to the beginning, all the way across) and stuff like that, lots of endurance buildup.

    Go Red Wings!!

  5. exercise and practicing
