How do I 'refresh' IP address when setting up a wireless network?

  1. Type the below text into notepad and save it as a .bat file onto your desktop. Once you have saved it, run it :

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    exit


  2. there is no need to refresh anything when setting up a wireless network , because i'd be willing to bet the house that your connection is DHCP

    but if you insist the command is  ipconfig / release

    then ipconfig /renew

  3. Go to Start>Run...>type in "command"

    When command box comes up type "ipconfig /release"

    Then type "ipconfig /renew"
