How do I Discontinueing messages from [e-mail]?

My wife's cell phone receives daily weather reports at about 10:00 A.M. from Yahoo. My wife hasn't initiated this request nor is she a computer user of any skill. She didn't ask anyone else to request these reports either. I've sent multiple requests to Yahoo to discontinue these reports with no success. Should I initiate legal action against Yahoo to make this stop? If I ask my phone carrier to block these, I might need to block everything or the carrier might not cooperate (I've already asked them twice). This is much more than inconvenient for my wife and I can't give out more detail on this.

she shouild be able to sign into her yahoo account and change her preferences for alerts.

Sign into her Yahoo a/c & change alerts preferences.

Click the following website, try to deactive the alerts from ON to OFF.  With this action, u suppose can deactive this irritating alerts.
