  1. Shrinking usually happens in the beginning. I know it may be difficult to buy your clothes but if you can...try buying your jeans a little bit longer in order to account for the shrinkage. There are also jeans that are labeled "preshrunk". That along with always washing your clothes in cold water (try the detergents made for cold water) and with clothes that give you the most problems...keep them out of the dryer and line dry them. (Dont forget the fabric softner!)

  2. I am in the same boat...this has been a long battle for me.  I have clothes that contiunally shrink after each wash!  I ALWAYS buy atleast a size larger.  I always wash clothes in cold or warm water and the ones I don't want to shrink, I will put on a very low dryer setting just for a short time and then on an indoor drying rack...seems to be ok.  I once read that the shrinking comes from the tumbling action of the washer and dryer.  When some clothes are made, the manufacturer stretches them out on a loom I guess to use less fabric and when you wash and dry them, the fabric shrinks back to it's normal size.  Heat will shrink them too...

  3. Wash in warm or cold water. Never hot and for jeans I'd line dry.

  4. well my mom use cold/cold water and our colthes dont shink as much

  5. It's the dryer that shrinks them much more than the washer.

Try hang drying them, instead of running them through the dryer.

  6. Wash COLD

    Dry AIR FLUFF
