How do I Reformat My computer ?

It has some viruses in it that keeps restarting it how do I reformat my computer. It windows XP. I don't want to put a new windows on it I just want windows XP

do you have the recovery disk?  or a copy of windows xp?  youre going to need either of those to do a full reformat

First restart the system Press Delete and in Bios Settings change First Bootable device as CD Rom.

Save and Exist. Now put the CD in CD Drive and restart the System

Under the bottom of the Screen you can see the options based on the requirement you can select the options (It will prompt for repair don’t select repair).

It Prompts for Press any key to …. Press ENTER OR SPACE BAR.

Press F8 to accept the license agreement. If Your Previous OS is in C Drive select it press “D” to delete and “L” To confirm Press enter on the deleted partition and select the Format with NTFS Partition.

And the rest of the work it will do.

Use your recovery disk if you have one.  Before turning off your computer put the recovery disk in and when you reboot computer follow the instructions that come up.  And I do believe that will get rid of the viruses. It has for me anyway.  Good luck.

Just remember that if it does not boot to the disk, you have to go in to the BIOS and set the CD Rom drive as the 1st boot device and save and reboot and that should do it.
