How do I Reset the Memory of My Computer?

My computer Doesn't work it won't even load on the Microsoft Screen ... I mean The Windows Xp Screen ... it loads loads loads and nothin nothin nothin... So I want to ask I want to erase the memory and instal windows all over again could someone help me with that?

  1. Before it starts up at the begin it says something like "press F11or F1 i'm not sure but once you press it follow the steps till you get your computer completelyre booted.


  2. You don't need to erase the memory, all you need is to reformat your computer again and after formatting, you can install fresh windows on it.

  3. When the computer turns on it should tell you a button to hit to enter the BIOS, usually one of the f1-f12 keys.  The bios is a plain old style looking menu that should appear. Use the arrow keys to navigate and look for a section that says boot order or boot device. Set it to boot from your CD rom drive first. Then insert the windows cd, reboot your computer and follow the instructions on screen to reinstall windows.
