How do I START a SCRABBLE play?

I have just opened a registration in a SCRABBLE game (www.pogo.com) How should I make an opening play when the whole board is already covered with letters (and I am not able to move either letter-tiles)?

Are you playing Scrabble Blast?  It's a completely different game from SCRABBLE.  

If you are, just click on the letters for you word and hit score.

Something is wrong here.

the board should be empty at the start of the game

Try using the HELP tab on the site.
