How do I Stop an Error 999?

Question

I keep getting an error 999 when i try to use Yahoo! search. I ran an anti-virus software on my computer with no success. I also emptied out my browser cache. Any suggestions would be helpful.

This has been going on for days now and Yahoo refuses or does nothing about it, it is happening to dozens of people and they are failing to fix the problem and act like there is nothing wrong. THEY are well aware of their problem, I have reported it for days, I have been told they may be banning IP addresses for bandwidth useage, as the problem will clear up and one can use the search then it gets worse with the error 999 message. Personally it is the pits when Google works perfect.
