  1. all the others have hit the nail on the head or at least the few that i have read. the only thing i would have to add is follow through with a hand technique afterwards. you likely wont get the guy to fall on his *** everytime you do it however if you get him slightly off balance and follow through with a punch is likely to be more effective

  2. Depends on what type of leg sweep you are doing.

It is very hard to answer your question in general terms.  Its seems as if you are looking for a step by step instruction?

If so, the easiest IMO is to simply:

-place foot on outside of oppenents foot

-swing opponenets body by gripping the near side elbow and far side shoulder towards that foot.

This is a very elementary technique however.

  3. Aaron J is spot on . reality is timing for a leg /foot sweep, its all about practise, work harder grasshopper

  4. The same way you would when you're at practice.. Duh

  5. don't....

just take em down, ground & pound.

  6. What type of leg sweep are we talking about here?  wish you could have been more detailed in your question.  There's only about a billion different types of sweeps yo.

Can a brother get a "A particular type of technique?" ....geeze!!

  7. the same way you do it in practice

  8. .

  9. Put your leg right behind their ankle and pull forward.

  10. If you practice it's not too hard.  Just kick the c**p out of the opponent's planted leg - the one they have the most weight on. Normally the planted leg is the front one as they advance or the rear one as they retreat.

Try to hit them in the ankle or the side or back of their knee with the ball of your foot - I'm assuming you are wearing shoes.  Or you can aim for their calf with your shin.  If you miss you can damage yourself as well as your opponent, so you really should get some training.

There are lots of advanced sweeps that involve grappling, clinching, and off-balancing to set the sweep, but a simple kick to an off-balance and untrained opponent works just fine.

    That's over simplified but effective.
