How do I access elementary school records from 55 years ago?

I contacted the school system from where I graduated 30 years ago.  They still had my permanent record on file.  My elementary records are over 40 years old--not quote 55 but getting there.

Call, write, or go by the school.  Most schools are helpful and will try to do what they can.  Just be up front with them about why you are inquiring.  The personable the attempt the better your chances will be.  Be prepared to prove that you are the same person as the records you are requesting--you probably did not have a Social Security number back then so it may not be easy.

i doubt u can, but I would still call the school or make a visit there and see if you can if its that important...
