How do I access the pictures on my SD card from my computer?

Question

When I put the SD card into my computer, it doesn't seem to register that the SD card is there. I go under 'My Computer' to try and find the SD card, but it's not there. What should I do?

You will have to get an SD adapter.

If your laptop has an SD slot and the card is not reading, perhap syou have an incompatible card type. There are two types of SD cards, original SD and the newer SD HD. Many older devices cannot read the SD HD cards, they are electrically different. Look carefully at the SD logo on the card, it will tell you which type it is.

can't you install the camera software onto the computer then access it frm that.

if not you are missing a file from the intallation and need re install the software again.if this is so make sure you restart you computer again.

Or first go to the control panel the to add and remove  and see in there if a sdcard reader is installed if not there is  your problem find the software and install if you dont have the software go to the makers web site and see if you can download it from there

Check if SD reader is under hardware devices.  (Recognized, installed, enabled and ready/ok).
