How do I activate a new Panasonic handset?

I bought a Panasonic KX-TGA560B to add to my KX-TG5632 system. How do I get it to work?

Hi medmargy:The new handset has to get a number from the base unit. The information that came with new handset usually describes the procedure.Also read the infor. that came with the base unit.The procedure goes something like this: place handset in base unit. you may have to push a few buttons.The base screen shows wait for identity number. Should show complete. Handset will probably be #2. Handset should be activated.Good luck.  exbelltel
