How do I adapt to a new living situation and city I do not know much about?

I have finally finished school, for a month now I've been living with my parents. After four weeks I am moving to a differnt city. I will not be familiar with anyone. My question is what is best way to adapt to my new situation?

  1. I agree with MG.  Meetup is a great site to meet people with the same interests as you.  Its not a hook up site but a site you can meet up with people who have the same interests as you....like sports etc
