How do I add a "Join This Group" box to my Yahoo Game Home Page?

I tried to Copy and Paste the HTML code on the "Promote" page, but the "Paste" option was unavailable after I copied the code. I also tried "Ctrl + v" but this didn't work either. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks...!

  1. the Join This Group tab is default- you wont see it if you're logged on as a member

the promote tab can be added to your group or any other group providing there is enough character space (located bottom of description)

the promote tab is really used for other sites than your group- like another group or myspace- a place that'll generate hits other than your group to direct peopel to your group

  2. When you were setting up your group, a "Join This group" button would have automatically been put in place on the home page. Since you are a member of group, you will not see it after you sign in to the group. If you want to see it, sign out from your group, then go back to the group's home page without signing in and look at it. The button is blue in color and you will see it on the right side above your group description. The only time a group's Join button is not on home page is when the group is a "Closed" type. Closed means members can only join if they are invited by owner. (No one can join if they are not invited.)

You might be talking about the "Promote" feature on groups where you get the html code. That is meant for putting the Promote - Join this group button on personal websites. If you or your friends have a personal website, you/they would use that code to place the button on that website to advertise your group for you. It is not meant to be put on your group's home page.
