Is it a hosting blog or blog using your bought domain?

If it's on Blogger, you can add it using the codes they provided.

You can't add widgets on Wordpress Blog.

if you want to post adsense on your blog simply setup an adsense code located at your account "  AdSense Setup ". after choosing the the right format for your ad. copy the code and simply add a page element or gadget to your blog. ex. blogger. paste the code to your html gadget and wala! you have a new ad. just wait upto 10 mins before it shows up. goodluck!
