How do I add an image (Album Art) to individual mp3 files?

I would like to add the album art to individual mp3 files that I have on my PC. I have tried using MP3TagTools v1.2 (which is a great little program) however that doesn't seem to work for my case. I was hoping there is a way I can do it in windows (i'm running vista home premium) without needing 3rd party software, although if it is needed, then please do let me know which. I have studied the properties of mp3's that I have downloaded that already have the album art saved into them, and tat of one which doesn't have album art, but they don't seem to differ at all.

Any help is greatly appreciated :).

  1. Media Monkey works well for this. and will sync most mp3 players.http://www.download.com/MediaMonkey-Stan...

  2. You can't do it on individual Mp3's but if you put them on itunes then all you do is get the album art from the internet and then copy and paste them onto the certain song on itunes. To do this all you have to do is right click the certain song on itunes and then click "Get Info" and then click on "Artwork" and paste the picture from the internet onto it :)

    Hope this helps!

  3. Just use iTunes ( http://apple.com/downloads ). Once the song is in iTunes, right click it and hit "Get Info". Go to the artwork tab and hit "Add". Locate the album art. Good luck!

  4. You can do this right in iTunes in the song's info window...

There is a good tutorial on the Apple Mentor web site:

What your asking specifically is covered in the 3rd paragraph.
