How do I add copy rights to my photo's and Art?

I like to post my photo's and Art on the web but worry I should have some protection.

  1. just stick your name on your photos

    but for you artwork well it depends are they like drawings/etc??

    if they are you could sign your name on the artwork thats what i did for mine


  2. The moment you finish your artwork, it is copyrighted. But, for some added protection, here are a few things you can do.

    First, you can make a watermark, as in the examples in the first link. I use a program named PicMark for my artwork. If you have Photoshop, you are also able to do a hidden/ invisible watermark. Simply, search the Photoshop Help for Watermark.

    Second, you can send your artwork to the U.S. Copyright Office at the second link. This can be costly as the price is $45, but it is worth it. For more info, go to the last link.
