How do I add friends on Facebook?

How do I add friends on Facebook? It says they have to confirm...once they do....how do i know?

Any tips? Thanks!

There is be a little tab under the person's picture that says "Add as Friend"

priss on there name and you will find something that says (add as a friend)

Once they confirm, a notification will be sent to you from Facebook, telling you that your friend accepted your request. New notifications are shown at the home page.
