I have ITunes on a home computer and all the songs on my IPod are on the ITunes on that computer. I set up ITunes on a laptop computer and want to put music from my laptop ITunes onto my IPod, however, I don't want to lose the songs already on my IPod and when I try syncing those songs it wants to write over the songs already stored on my IPod. Is there anyway to avoid this problem?

  1. Download and install iDump to your laptop (it's 100% FREE)

Connect the iPod to the laptop & hold down the SHIFT+CTRL keys simultaneously, give the iPod a moment or two to load then release the keys

Open iDump and select the folder you wish to transfer the music to and transfer

Import the files into iTunes, and - if you have bought music from iTunes - click on STORE > AUTHORIZE COMPUTER, enter your email+password, then close/re-open iTunes.

    Voila.

    Sync, listen and be content.
