How do I add the HTML code to my group for the Join Now button?

I want the Join Now button on my home page of my group, and I not sure how to apply the HTML code so the button appears in my group for new members to join.

  1. if your group is closed/ invite only, adding this wont help- it's not in the directory, and members cant join this type group.

    if it is open or restricted membership, there is a default big blue tab on the right Join This Group, you don't see it because you're logged on as a member. non members see and and you would too by logging out on the web page, go back to the group site.

    html codes are added to the description area of the page. this area only allows for 2000 characters and codes can easily hog that space up fast.


  2. When you were setting up your group, a "Join This group" button would have automatically been put in place on the home page. Since you are already a member of the group, you will not see it after you sign in to the group. If you want to see it, sign out completely from Yahoo, then go back to the group's home page without signing in and look at it. The button is blue in color and you will see it on the right side above your group description. The only time a group's Join button is not on home page is when the group is a "Closed" type. Closed means members can only join if they are invited by owner. (No one can join if they are not invited.)
