I am making my own wedding cake using rolled fondant, but I want to make it white chocolate flavoured. Does anyone know the best way to do this?

  1. You can buy white chocolate fondant, like white chocopan.  Here's a link to a site that sells it: http://bakerscandc.com/product_info.php?...  but there are many others, so shop around.  You can also add a flavoring oil to homemade fondant.  Lorann makes a chocolate flavor, but it's brown, so you would probably end up with a pale ivory fondant.  https://www.lorannoils.com/p-8311-chocol...  You can also make homemade marshmallow fondant and add two ounces of melted white chocolate to it.  I've never tried that, so I don't know how chocolatey it comes out.

Another option would be to ice your cake in white chocolate buttercream and then cover with a thin layer of plain fondant.

Whatever you do, don't buy Wilton fondant and try to flavor it.

Since it's for such  an important occasion, your best bet would be to go with the white chocopan.

  2. there really isn't a good way to do that to the fondant.  If you want to get a white chocolate extract and use instead of vanilla when making your own then that's about the only way.  Otherwise I would just make a white chocolate buttercream to use as your base frosting under the fondant.  If you need recipes or more info email me.
