I was told to contact this lady in the UK, I had to write to her "in her town of "Woodlands" in the city of Southampton in Hampshire, UK." I'm not used to writing to the UK so can somebody tell me how the envelope would look?

Is it:

Name

Woodlands

Southampton

Hampshire

UK

Or:

Name

Woodlands, Southampton

Hampshire

UK

Or:

Name

Woodlands

Southampton, Hampshire

UK

Or something I didn't even mention? Please help me.

  1. Any of the above will do fine

  2. You can do it either way, but the latter is the better of the two..but you have missed out the postal code (zip) code, which will start with SO... ...., its very important to have the postal code.

  3. Either of those ways will do.

Do you have a road and Post Code ? Although Woodlands is only 2 or 3 roads.  The Post Code will be something like SO40 7xx

    Then it will be

    Name

    Road

    Woodlands

    Southampton

    Hampshire

    SO40 7xx

    UK

  4. It would be the second one:

    Name

    Woodlands, Southampton

    Hampshire

    UK

BUT, you must remember to put the POSTCODE,

  5. daft as it sounds as long as you have the name the house number and the post code you really don't need any thing else, but to be sure, goto royal mail post codes section giving the name and address and they will correct you
