How do I adjust my serger?

Singer Quantumlock 14T967DC FS 5/4/3/2-Thread Serger is what I have. The threads are lose on the fabric. I serge on fleece alot. Sometimes on cotton.

  1. Do you have a sewing manual for your serger? You should be able to find how to adjust it in there.

    I have a different brand of serger but this is what my manual advises - set the dials all at no 3 setting and test sew a piece of fabric and check to see which threads are all loose, if you have trouble try threading them with different coloured threads to work it out. Tighten each thread a little in turn to work out which ones are the loose ones - when you have it right do a final test sew and then re-thread with the coloured thread that you want to use.
