How do I adjust the color of the background in Photoshop?

The color palate shows white as a pale yellow. I can't figure out how to make it a clean white.

  1. To get to pure white, hit the letter D on your keyboard. It will take the foreground/background colors back to their default which is black foreground, white background.

    Otherwise, click on either box and it will launch the color picker window so you can get any color you want.


  2. you're right, it's due to your monitor. head into the control panel and from there you can adjust things like brightness, contrast, and colour to make sure your whites are white and your blacks are black.
