How do I adjust the opacity level of a picture with Photoshop?

Hi, I'd like to do this to the edges of two photos so that they can sort of fade into each other. If you know how to do it with Corel draw or corel paint please share.

  1. On photoshop it is called "feather". This is different from just sliding over your opacity bar. It allows you to select a certain amount of pixels inward to gradually fade. Look it up in your help section on photoshop. It's not hard to use, but way too much to explain here. Just have a duplicate copy of your photo, because you might have to play with it a little bit to get the exact effect you are looking for.
