How do I administer a group when Yahoo has deactivated the original email address?

Question

I joined a group with a non-Yahoo email address and was made the administrator of that group. At the time I was an SBC customer and associated my SBC Yahoo email address with my non-Yahoo email address. I used that SBC account to login and administer the group. Then I left SBC and that email address was closed.

I still receive subscribe requests at my non-Yahoo email and approve or deny those but I can't login to do anything else like, say, appointing someone else as an administrator.

is there anyone else in the group as a moderator or owner that can go to the members list and click on the Requist Profile across from you ID in the group? do you have a yahoo account? not sure if this would help you or not

go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address.

then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes
