Is it the heat or humidity? I would like a suggestion on more of a natural approach? Thank you!

  1. I had a problem with ants a few years ago and someone told me to put Dawn liquid soap around the outside or perimeter of the house. It's a safe way to keep them from entering your house, as for the ones that are already in the house I would look into a natural indoor pesticide (I know you have children) that is safe towards pets and people.

    best of luck :-)

  2. get an all around spray for the outside of your house

    or call an exterminator

  3. Clean up anything that could attract the ants.

Get some ant bait traps like Raid or any other main brand and put them out but do not touch or move them.  They get used to going to them in the same place and it will take several days but it will kill their colony.

When I put the bait traps out I leave them for months.

  4. Clean, clean and clean some more! Pull out the fridge and the stove and clean under them. I used to work for a place that had horrible ants and I pulled out the kitchen appliances and disinfected the floor really well and the ants went away and never came back! They come in when there is a food source- get rid of the food source, get rid of the ants!

    Good luck

  5. Boil up the kettle and pour it on the ants mwahahaha.

  6. Sometimes bugs themselves can't stand the heat outside. I would use Ortho fire ant killer on the outside, this works for roaches too. Costs about 10 bucks and you can find it anywhere. I would use a little in the inside of my home around the edges where you see the ants. I would definitely not do this if there is children in my home. If you do proceed make sure to clean it up the very next day. Best of Luck!!

  7. Go with liquid toro.  Put a few drops on small pieces of cardboard and place in the ant paths - it will destroy the colony.

Cleaning or bleaching them away isn't very effective.
