Recently I've been getting the message "There is a problem with this web-site's security certificate" and navigation is blocked. This is occurring on all my account sites - it is only just started to happen and I simply don't know why or what to do about it

  1. Visit this site for answers on all your hosting needs.http://emagefolios.com/flash-website-tem...

  2. Which Windows Firewall are you using, XP or Vista?

For XP, go to Start > Control Panel> Advanced View Mode > Windows Firewall and from there you can alter its settings.

  3. http://www.mcafeeasap.com/intl/en/Defaul...

  4. The same as CJBarnes

Although I would recommend getting a third-party (not windows) firewall. Windows firewall is not the best and it only checks traffic going one way. You can get many alternative, more secure and all-round better firewalls for free. I use Comodo which is good and is ranked high among the free firewalls. You can download it from here

Just click the big download button!

    Hope this helps!

  5. I have come in late on this question because I am not happy with the answers you have received. You have stated that this is a very recent problem & I would suggest that this is not down to the firewall.A more likely source is your browser, which you have not named.Malware of some kind may be involved. As a first priority update, run both antivirus & antispyware. You should obviously delete any threats found & if the problem is persistent you may need to run both in safe mode with system restore disabled.I would recommend Superantispyware if you have no program installed.http://majorgeeks.com/SUPERAntiSpyware_d...

  6. Control Panel > Firewall > And check that there is not a tick in "Do Not Allow Exceptions" > Click on Exceptions at the top and Make sure the sites and programs you use are in there. If not then select them from the "Add To" list.

  7. Go on to Start> Control Panel> Firewall and from there you can remove it and allow certain sites access and others not.
