Question:

How do I anonymously blog to expose scandal?

Well long story short, I want to start exposing some shady dealings in my local community involving some businesses. Nothing major major but I feel it is wrong, and I also feel that it is in my best interest to do this 100% anonymously. I was wondering if there is any way I can set up a blog that truly can not be traced back to me, even by professionals.

I will be doing this from a Macbook most likely. Does anybody have any ideas? The thing is, the information I want to bring to light is stuff the public needs to know. Nothing illegal per-say, just things that are definitely frowned upon that would upset a lot of people if they knew what was going on, ya know? But again, for the sake of my job and such, I want this to be anonymous.

Help?

Thanks

  1. Use throw away emails. Most websites want an email address for various reasons. To avoid spam, set up a free email address at hotmail, yahoo, or gmail. If you really want anonymity, there are other services like mailinator.com, spambob.com, spamgourmet.com. Each one of these are completely anonymous. Check them out.

    Step2

If you need to surf the web anonymously, such as looking for jobs so your boss won't know it, use either public proxy servers http://www.torproject.org/. At http://www.publicproxyservers.com.Anonym... proxy servers hide your IP address and thereby prevent unauthorized access to your computer through the Internet. hey do not provide anyone with your IP address and effectively hide any information about you and your reading interests. Besides that, they don't even let anyone know you are surfing thru a proxy server. Check them out.

    Step3

If you are on a dating service and need an anonymous telephone number, that is even possible. Check out http://www.jangl.com,http://enterprise.jaduka.com/services, or http://www.numbr.com/.

    Step4

Above all else--use your common sense! Assume everything you post will be on the front page of the NY Times and you should be safe. In some online communities it is better to use avatars than real photos. Make your screen names totally anonymous and you shouldn't have to worry!.
