I need a cooking gas connection at home for which I'm told I need a ration card. How does one go about applying for one in Bangalore?

Visit the Food and Civic Supplies Department of your Zone where you are living OR visit the head office on Kasturba road, opposite the Museum, it is in the third floor.

You can get a form, it is in kannada -- take help to fill it, and you have to submit your proof of address (rental agreement, telephone bill etc ). After submitting the form, a photograph will be taken and computerised "ration card " will handed over to you. There is a fees for this.
