I am also a visitor in Canada. How long does it take to process applications and what do I need to submit? Know the official website?

  1. Just googled British consulate Canada... You should get the address you need!

You can get it quite fast, normally 3 days is the longest, and I think you can also get an express one in the same day not sure though..

  2. visas to canada go to www.cic.gc.ca the cnd visa immg etc website or

    www.international.gc.ca

  3. You will have to contact the British High Commission in Ottawa. The British Consulate General in Toronto does not handle visa/immigration requests.  Their contact information is:

    Visa Section

    British High Commission

    80 Elgin Street

    Ottawa, Ontario K1P 5K7

    (900) 528-8472 (Premium rate C$2.80 /minute)

    (800) 951-1444 (Credit card rate C$2.80 /minute)

It usually takes 10 working days to get a visa issued once all  required documents and fees are received. Contrary to what one responder poster, you do not have to return to your home country to apply for a visa. You will have to prove that you are legally in Canada as a resident or tourist and that's it,

  4. You can't. Only a permanent resident OR citizen of Canada can apply at the UK Embassy in Ottawa. You will have to apply back in the UK Embassy in your home country.**
