How do I apply for a working visa in Brazil?

I am from the uk and looking to work in either tourism / teaching english or dance - any suggestions?

  3. Speak to the Brazilian embassy for advice. The Foreign Office http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?page... will have contact details.

  4. More precisely than the Brazilian embassy, you need the consular service. If you are in the UK right now you will find contact details below, but I also included their Ministry of Foreign Affairs link to search for other missions and embassies if you aren't. From experience I would suspect that because of reciprocity you would be expected to already have an employer to be granted a work permit.

    If you are looking for something temporary like work experience, some NGOs and schools might intermediate that. Contact the Brazilian embassy and explore their website and partner websites for that. Unlike Europe and a few other countries, where it is very common for holiday makers to work their way into travelling, the socio-economic reality in Brazil is really different and you should have someone to vouch for you rather than trying to sort that out independently.
