How do I approach this with my boyfriend?

I've noticed lately that my boyfriend has gained a lot of weight. He's a big guy in general, very tall and broad. It just seems like he's been eating a lot and more often. When he's sleeping, he sometimes struggles to breathe. I'm just worried about him. Should I just keep my mouth shut, or do you think I should talk to him about this? I've been losing weight, so I've tried to make us do it as a couple, but he sticks to his ways.

just worried...

  1. tell him in a jokey kind of way like " some1s a bit porky"

or if not then tell him coz u care for him u noticed that he has trouble breathing at night and that u searched it on the internet and that is related to over-eating, and that its not healthy.

  2. Obese people people can develop sleep apnea.  Ask him to get a physical.  Also calculate a BMI on yourself and him.  See what he says when he sees the numbers.

  3.      Bring up the fact that when he's asleep he struggles to breathe.  Tell him how worried you are and see what his response is.  It's a very difficult situation, I know, but one which you'd be wise to broach.  It's so easy to hurt people's feelings, isn't it?  Still, I think it's a risk you have to take.

    Good luck
