How do I as a moderator of a yahoo group want change owners from moderated status to unmoderated?

Can I change for on behalf Owner or Owner only can do that......?? Any body can HELP me???

  1. I found out one time when still just a moderator for a group that when it comes to changing the status of the owner that only the owner can change that.

    I would recommend checking with a Yahoo Groups customer service representative as well in case things may have changed on that level since implementing the new Beta program for Yahoo Groups.

    But to change the status of a member that was on moderated status go to the section that says, "Edit Membership" and then look for the section that says that their messages are override and click on the "Edit" button.  It will then show you several choices.  The top one which is what they call like a default setting means that the member can now use all aspects of the group such as the group calendar for example.


  2. you should be able to do this for the owner as well

    to do this, you locate the members in th list, click edit membership below their ID- scroll to bottom of page and click Posting Messages:    Override: This member's posts are always moderated (Edit) <-- the edit- next page bottom select unmoderated posts and click save changes
