How do I ask a girl out for a date which I only know her online for abt 2-3 weeks.I don't know how she looks.

We are good friends, chat online often and also I have asked her to come to the college festival but she says she will try.How do I convince her that I am genuine and not like just flirting with girls.

I have not seen her photo, just want to meet her.Please help me.
