How do I ask my brother-in-law if he was looking at pornography on my computer?

Because I only got the computer on Monday, and Corey asked to use Monday night to use it really quick, so I gave him the password. No problems then. Tuesday rolls by, and I fell asleep that night early. When I wake up this morning to start my coursework online, I notice that ALL of my history is deleted from before. I know that Corey looks at p**n because he accidentally left sights on the address bar history, and their history is constantly being deleted. My sister hasn't any idea about what he does because she can be an airhead. And I've also found traces for p**n sights on my parents computer.

  1. Well I would just get him alone and then ask him because it would be embarrassing to ask him in front of other people. Don't accuse him of anything because that will make him mad just calmly ask if he knows anything about someone looking at p**n on your computer.

  2. just ask, it's your computer.

why don't you look in history and see where he was.  if you can't prove it don't say anything... what makes you think he was doing that in the first place?

  3. You don't. Looking at p**n isn't a crime. If your sister has no problem with him looking at it, then you shouldn't either.

Unless of course he's leaving a mess behind for you to clean off the keyboard, THEN you start leaving a box of tissues sitting out next to the computer so he can clean it himself.

Why ask and embarrass him and yourself? Do you REALLY want to know *that* badly?

  4. Just quietly walk up to him, out of earshot of others, and tell him that if he wants to look at dirty pictures, he needs to do so on his own computer... leave yours alone.

Use the password log-on feature to lock any unauthorized users out.

Consider getting your ISP to block out any sexually-oriented sites.

  5. If you haven't deleted your history you can just look to see what sites have been visited.

Do you have a child old enough to be on the computer? You can always tell him someone has visited sites that you think are p**n and wanted to ask him if it was him before you confronted your kid because you didn't want to put ideas into your kid's head. If he admits it, ask him nicely to not to. Tell him you don't want to chance your child visiting a site he had been on by accident.

  6. Is knowing this going to bring back your history?  I don't think so.  Unless there's some reason you really need to know exactly what he's looking at then don't ask.  Simply change your password and tell him no next time he asks to use your computer.  If he asks why tell him he lost all your college classes last time and you can't let that happen again.
