  1. I dont want to confuse you.

    Just go through this link

    http://edit.finance.yahoo.com/e6?.portke...

    it displays 4 different options to you , at the last 4th advanced option check the options , what u would like to add in your portfolio.

    and click on

    "ENTER MORE INFORMATION"

    THATS IT...

    if the NOTES want to display everytime u access your portfolio,

    Just edit portfolios View and ADD " NOTES"

    sO that u will get your notes , each time when u opened your portfolio.

  2. Attaching a note requires 2 steps:

    1) edit your portfolio to allow a Note field;

    2) edit one of your portfolio views to display the Note field.

    To edit your Portfolio, display it and then click on the Create/Edit Portfolio link at the right side of the blue title bar, the one that has your portfolio's name on the left. This takes you to a screen that says "Step 4: Advanced Features (Optional)" at the bottom. The last row has a check box for Notes. Click on it so it has a check in it, and then click on the "Edit More Info" button. This takes you to another screen, where you can enter a Note for each stock, such as source of recommendation. Click the "Finished" button when you're done.

    Now you've added a Note, but none of your views displays it yet.

    To edit your portfolio view, go back to a display of your portfolio. Select the View which you would like to add the Note field to, and click on the "[edit]" link next to the name of the View. This takes you to a page that has "Step 2: View Fields". Select one of the fields that's not being used, and select "Notes" from the list. (It's near the end, 3rd from last.) Then click the Finished button.

    This takes you back to the view of your portfolio. If Notes is not displayed, don't worry, just hit the Refresh button in your browser, or select Refresh from the View menu. The Note you added will then be displayed in this View.

    Hope that helps.
