How do I attract more members to my Yahoo Groups?

Question

I have two groups. They are about collecting postcards. I have 20 members in one group but I'd like more. I have just created another group.

I have sent some invites and put a few ads on similar groups. How else can I promote my groups?

add the links to your profile and mail signature.

add the promote code to other free sites you may run

avoid added it to other groups for advertising groups, you'll more get spammers than real members

I have a yahoo group.Its got 2127 members so far in about  7 months. I suggest you add as many links as possible to related groups. Also you can add a photo to frickr to get more exposure,try to add one you took yourself. There is a group on frickr called yahoo photos groups.There may be other related websites that you can add your link to. Im thinking of creating a blog with a few pics and a link to my group and some of my other favourite related groups.Links probably help more than ads,people are lazy ,you gotta lay it on a plate for them.Hope this helps.
