I'm travelling soon to Amsterdam and later Rome, and I've heard that especially in Rome pickpocketers are rampants. What type of clothing, carrying equipment, etc. should I wear, and are there any tips for protecting myself from pickpocketers?

  1. i would seriously just put tape over your front pocket (Don't put anything in your back pocket). or put it in pockets that zip or button up. and if you can tell someone is trying to steal your stuff just scream and they will run haha. i did that and it was actually pretty awsome.

  2. my brother just got back from a school trip not too long ago.

i hear it's hot over there..so wear shorts

    and VERY comfortable shoes.

he took with him this thing--don't know the name of it--

but it held his pass port, money and all of that stuff.

and it went around your neck and under your clothes.

that way pick pocketers can't get your stuff.

he also took with him a money belt..but he took it off because

it was uncomfortable/akward whenever he sat down..so don't buy one of those.

    bring a back pack..not a huge one..but like a draw string one.

that way if you decide to stop anywhere and buy souviners you don't have to hold it all day.

bring an adapter with LONG prongs..the one he took, the prongs weren't long enough in some places he stayed, so he had to use somebody else's.

    hope i helped.
