I have a huge neighborhood saved on my laptop and it's really taking up a ton of space on my hard drive and I was wondering how do i save those files on something external so that I can just connect it to the computer when i want to play the game or so that i can transfer it to another computer if necessary. If you could instruct me on how to do this and recommend an external memory I would appreciate it.thanks in advance!

  1. what  you want is possible but not  very simple

you wil need to do the following thinsg

chance  the properties of  your my documents  files

go to your desktop  right click on the my documetns  icon  and go to properties

chance the first letter and the first letter  only  in the target bar

the  first letter is  the  new disc station you  want  to  turn in your my documents file  so lets say  D

back up  your  sims 2  game

go your  old  my documents folder  on the c: drive  go to ea games and  copy or burn  the sims 2 folder to  a usb flash drive  or dvd

    uninstall and reinstall the game

start the game up  and  check  the D drive to see if the ea games  and sims 2 folders have been game by the game

if it has  copy  your sims 2 folder to the ea game map   and  click yes when windows prompts  you to over write  the files

and there  you go sims  2 on a different  drive
