How do I bake cupcakes using 1300w microwave?

Is it possible? Do I have to pre-heat the microwave?? sound terrible! Please suggest.thx.

Good suggestions, although I have never been really pleased with microwaved cakes, as the texture definitely varies from the regular kind.

Please don't preheat the microwave--the chamber of the microwave doesn't actually heat as the traditional oven does, rather the microwaves interact directly with your food to cook it.  "Preheating" an empty microwave oven can be dangerous!

Cooks.com has some microwave cupcake recipes - I'm not sre about wattage, but it's probably worth having a go!
