Question:

How do I beat the dice?

I'm playing a gambling game right now.

The rules are:

Each turn I can wager an amount of money on up to six possible outcomes from one die.

If I get it, I get five time the amount of money that I wagered on that outcome.

Is there any way that I can statistically raise my probability of gaining profit?

  1. This game has an expected loss for the player, so there is no way to guarantee a profit.

  2. Bet 5 of the numbers

    Win  = win 5 loose 4 = Win 1

    Loose = Loose 5

    You have 5 out of 6 chance to win, but then you also have to wager 5 to win 1.

    So, if you loose one time, you have to win back five times.

    So, go all out, bet one time, one roll, BIG.  If you win, QUIT for the day.

    If you Loose? On a 5 / 6 chance?  On a First Roll? Gambling is not for you, quit!!!

  3. With one dice the chance of any number coming in is 1 to 6.

    However with two dice the most possible numbers are 6,7 and 8, as there are more combinations to reach this number.
