How do I become ECE certified in Massachusetts?

Question

I am currently working at a preschool, but on the side I want to become ECE certified so I can eventually become at elementary school teacher. Is there an easier way to become certified besides taking classes at a community or state college? I can't really afford to take classes right now! Please be as detailed as possible and if you are an elementary school teacher, please tell me how you become one! I really really appreciate it! Thanks :)
