  1. Try Listening more , slow down and take your time

    Listen to your teachers

  2. pay attetion in class study harder

  3. Ask your mother to hire a private tutor for you. Kids usually learn how to study from their tutor. Ideally, parents should sit down with their kids after school to go through everything --- homework, review, etc. My mother did this to us just from first to second grade. By third grade we were pretty set to study on our own and got good grades without too much help . If your mom cant tutor you cause of work, ask for a private tutor. it'll just be for a year or two until you learn how to study (efficiently) on your own.

  4. I have a couple of ideas for you.  First of all, try composing songs in your head.  I like to take a tune like the Christmas song that goes, "The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful..."  I like to work my brain by coming up with alternative lyrics, such as, "The weather outside is funky, and you smell like a monkey."  It's fun and it stretches your mind.  Another thing I think will help is if you learn to draw.  Simple stuff, like pencil sketching, will force you to look at things more closely.  Lastly, read.  Read what you like, at the grade level that's comfortable for you.  Hope that helps.

  5. Talk to your teachers and ask them.  It sounds like you need a little guidance as to HOW to study.

It's not that you aren't smart.  It's that you aren't showing how smart you are.  You will learn, as you go along, how to express yourself better, and how to organize yourself better.

    Good luck!
