I want to teach people to learn how to fly, However, I am talking about teaching them on getting theire Personal Pilots, Not commercial.

I want to teach them how to fly a Cessna more or less.

  1. Visit your local flight school; they'll be glad to fill you in on the details and/or get you started.

  2. If you already are certified as Commercial Pilot and rated as an Instrument Pilot then get endorsed to take the written exam.  Pass it.  Get trained to be an instructor and get endorsed by a qualified flight instructor for the practical test.  Pass it.

  3. Took me almost three years from the date I first started flying.

    1. Get Private Pilot's Certificate (took me 6 months)

    2. Get Instrument Rating (took me 4 months)

    3. Get Commercial Pilot's Certificate (took me 8 months)

    4. Learn how to teach everything you have just learned (except some Instrument stuff).  Know everything like the back of your hand, because you now have to teach it to people. (took me about 4-5 months of continuous studying and hard work)

It's a ton of work, but well worth it.  You absolutely HAVE to have a passion for flying though, or you will never make it through with the workload, tests, etc.  Definitely not something you just up and do...there is a huge commitment of time and money involved.

  4. You will need to obtain your commercial license, along with an instrument and multi-engine rating if you plan on teaching students to get them, and then continue on to get your Certified Flight Instructor license.  You can also get the Instrument add-on to teach the instrument rating, along with the multi-engine instructor rating to teach in multi-engine aircraft.
