How do I become a TC, for Nascar category?

I've asked & answered a lot in this category... yet it seems I can't get my orange badge back. (I had it for Polls & Surveys... but YA took that away from everyone with a P&S badge.)

So, I've been trying to show my passion here in the Nascar category... but I guess I haven't participated enough...

Does anyone know how much percentage of Best Answer in ONE category do I need to get the orange badge???

I have over all 18% best answer rating... but not are all in the NASCAR category... So, I just curious... what will it take??? Anyone know??

  1. I have a TC badge for swimming. I have answered a lot there.

TC badges are troll magnets. So what if I have one, I would like rid of it.

Be glad you are without a TC, the trolls will stay away from you.

  2. Not sure, I have asked and answered also but I believe that it has a lot to do with the percentage of top answers ..maybe one of the top contributors can give you more info..sorry

  3. I'm not sure to be honest. I recently regained my NASCAR TC status (lost it cause at the time there were hardly any questions to answer).

Just keep answering away it'll come before you know it

  4. do like david g24 did get 10 accounts and vote yourself all the best answers that will help

  5. You have to have over 10 % best answerer's in the category that you want to  be top contributor in .

  6. They have increased the amount of time that you have to spend in Yahoo Answers before you get a top contributor badge. It really has nothing to do with the quality of your answers. Just give a lot of answers. Try to get as many beast answers as you can. You probably need to be around 15% best answers at least to get it. You really don't have to even know what you are talking about. Just make it sound good.

Also here is a trick. If you are good in another category and can reel in a lot of best answers there AND also answer a lot of questions here then they will give you the badge for both categories. I had 3 badges at one time. It's a joke.

In another older account I use to have I had 3 top contributor badges in less than a month with 75% best answers.

Also you can pick questions that nobody answers and increase your best answers percentage. Go to the rear section of the category you want to get the badge in and locate questions that nobody has answered. If you have to look up on the internet to find the answers then you can gain in percentages by doing that. You can actually gain way more points that way than by answering one question at a time. Then be sure every day to check  your answers that are in voting. It is perfectly within guidelines to vote for your answers as best answer.

You can do it legally without having multiple accounts and gain a tremendous amount of points in no time.

  7. I have no idea lol

  8. Lady:  long time no see!  You have to consistently (week after week) accumulate a bunch of points.  "The top contributor badge is dynamic —you earn it or lose it depending on your recent participation in a particular category. The more actively you contribute, the more likely you will earn a badge."  I know I have had mine for a long time.  But, I lost it when I wasn't on her much for a couple of weeks...only 40-50 points per week.  It took 3 weeks of 200+ poionts for the week to get it back.  So, once you get it, you have to keep it up or lose it.  I don't think the best answer % makes any difference.  Mine has been at 15% forever.  The only thing it does for you is give you 10 more points towards your weekly total.  Good luck.

Is this gonna be an HMS weekend????
