How do I become a bartender in Houston?

I'm thinking about moving to Baytown, Texas. How can I become a bartender?

Try to get in with a restaurant that has a full bar.  Have them train you to bartend.  Do not spend your money on bartending school!  There are so many drinks with different recipes.  You can have a bartender just teach you how count pours and mix the right way.  Good luck!

I would suggest getting TABC certified.  You can find the classes through an on-line search, or in the phone book under seller/server certification.  Being certified all ready will definitely help you get hired.
