How do I become a chinese teacher in usa?

Question

I am from Taiwan.

My husband (he is an us citizen) and I just got married like 1 month ago

and we are working on applying for green card and every thing

I want to go to college here after we get the green card and everything

I didn't know what I want to do for living here at the begining

but after I think about it, I think I could be a chinese teacher

because I love languages, I love to learn different languages and teach people the languages i know

so my question is what type of college and what major should I choose if I want to become a chinese teacher?

and do I have to speak and write or spell perfect english to be a chinese teacher?

I only know traditional chinese, would that stop me from becoming a chinese teacher?

and how do I become a chinese teacher after I finish college?

(we are in Penssylvania, we want to work in Pittsburgh in the future)

With traditional chinese it will be harsh. I had a chinese teacher from Taiwan as well, but she speaks mandarin and grew up in costa rica. She then came Mexico with her chinese husband and he has a clinic of something and she teaches chinese at private high schools.

Another example you could use is an aunt of mine, she married a resident latino and she is now resident. She is taking some course to become teacher, as she had a bachelor in chemistry that she got back in Mexico. However, if you want to teach studying in US, there will be a big difference. In the US you will have to pick up a bachelor in education and it will probably be in Elementary education.

The other thing I believe it could be Chinese studies as your bachelor, which is plain dumb as you already know that, no one will teach you about china. However is the only way I can think of teaching Chinese. Better get some brochures at local college.

i think it's hard, cos people from taiwan have really strong accent.
